There is a new initiative led by pioneer vlogger Ryanne Hodson to get more women speaking at Tech conferences. Though there are several women who are equally as successful as men in the industry, female participants are often overlooked.

In response to the demand for female speakers, Hodson has started a wiki to list names from different backgrounds, including: Media Makers; Programmers and Entrepreneurs. This list should act as a resource for those planning to hold conferences in the future.

    What a great resource.

Even speaking as a male, It is nice to get a different angle at speaking events instead of listening to the same ol’ guys speaking about the same ol’ things from the same ol’ point of view.

    Good on Ryanne.

Between this and her other projects, give her a few years and she’ll be running the world!

Right on. If we could see more of these speakers, I might actually start attending panels again.
