This was given to me, by my very articulated friend James:

When Hillary Clinton said, way back in New Hampshire, that Vladimir Putin "doesn't have a soul," I figured that would be the sort of thing the Russian wouldn't be pleased about.

He was asked about the remark at his press conference yesterday, however, and indeed wasn't pleased. "At a minimum, a head of state should have a head," Putin said.

Go Putin!

I agree. Character is what counts. Although it might be better to say that capabilities are what count even more. A person can have a lot of character, for instance, and be a bumbling fool. Which brings me to Obama...

Everyone who thinks that Barak Obama would make a good president needs to look at

(1) The Obamameter: http://www.gop.com/obamaspendometer.htm

And compare that to (2) this report by the US Comptroller General's report on 60 minutes (basically, he's the head accountant of the US ): http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-7461407498377956300

Bottom line: former big-government Republicans and Democrat socialists have officially bankrupted the United States, a situation the current Democrat socialist and big-government Republicans will only worsen. We need to cut spending and downsize the government, not make even more ludicrous spending promises we can't possible keep, and which are not the government's duty to make anyway. Cheerio.

Great letter, Casey and thanks for sending it. As I told you, I am a Barack supporter too and I believe in him and his fight for the White House. Though, I do look forward to a woman as president, the Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton thing makes me uncomfortable. After Hillary, would our next president be Jeb Bush, followed by Chelsea (sp?) Clinton? I like where Obama is coming from.

BTW, I really like the new look of your web site. ~Greg
