Overheard performs at SXSW

There were some technical difficulties at the Rock Band party the other night, but it didn’t stop us from performing one song for the crowd of hundreds… here we are standing around for 5-6 minutes waiting for the XBox 360 to work and then RAWKING OUT!!!

OMG. I live in Austin and was at SXSW. I’m kinda upset that I didn’t get to see this wonderful performance.

Wow! Thanks for publishing my video on your blog, Casey! I had fun taking it at the Cedar Street Courtyard and also interviewing you at SXSW (interview published at http://austincast.com/blog/ and I’ll be pushing the interview to youtube also). The video was shot with a Canon HV20 high def camera and I’ll be publishing a high res version on austincast and you’re welcome to a copy of the uncompressed original files.
I thought the tech difficulties and the responses of the participants were an interesting insight in to their personalities. It would have been cool to have gone through with your original idea of doing a 4 song set though.
I am publishing a “long version” of this which has other rockband performances from Cedar Street Courtyard that night plus interviews with Casey Mckinnon, Leah Culver, Veronica Belmont, Cali Lewis and others from SXSW 2008.
