Appearing on RadNerd tonight!

Watch RadNerd tonight at 10 PST!

I was asked to be the guest on the season finale of The RadNerd Show… and being a rather radical nerd, how could I say no? ;)

Tune in tonight at 10pm PST for the live show with me at thestream.tv!

2010 Double Bill!

We finally launched season 5 of A Comicbook Orange yesterday and it feels great! I’m dancing around my apartment today like a complete idiot. And, to make a day better, I also just got off the phone about something really exciting… so keep your fingers crossed for me ;)

Also out this week is an interview that Rudy and I did with The Web Files. The interview turned out even better than I thought it would because of the awesome editing! Take a look:

And, lastly, thanks to Tubefilter for the blog post yesterday, and thanks to YouTube and Blip.tv for featuring our new episode! 2010 is off to a great start… XOXO

Girls Go Geek Interview

I was interviewed by the lovely Amber Mac on her new show Girls Go Geek. The episode originally aired on XBox 360 in the US and is finally available on the web for all the non XBox users/non-Americans.

It’s a great interview, but I wince every time I hear myself say “Jennie 2.0″ since it’s actually “Jennie 2.5″! Oops…

My Speaker Profile on GeekSpeakr

I've joined GeekSpeakr.com

In an effort to get the word out on my availability as a panelist and speaker, I’ve joined GeekSpeakr. I’ve been consistently disappointed with the lack of female voices at web video conferences and hope that GeekSpeakr’s tagline of “connecting tech women speakers to event organizers” will do just that.

Aside from female voices, however, I also have a lot to contribute in general. As someone who’s been working in web video for the past three years (back before the video iPod even existed, to give you some context), I’ve learned a lot about what works and what doesn’t work in new media. And, frankly, I often feel like watching newbies talk about my field is like watching a car crash in slow motion.

Contact me if you have a speaking engagement you’d like me to be a part of. Some of my favorite topics include: Web Video and Copyright Issues; Hollywood and New Media; Internet Fame; Marketing on Social Networks, Video Production and Post Production.

Guest Appearance on CNET’s The Real Deal

While we were in San Francisco, Rudy and I appeared on CNET podcast The Real Deal on Tuesday. You can listen to the podcast here, or watch it on Ustream here. Special thanks to everyone who watched us live, and to Tom Merritt for inviting us to be on the show!
