Gearing up for SXSW 2008

With Sundance over it’s time to gear up for SXSW! This year I’ll be speaking on a panel with Ariel Waldman, Veronica Belmont, Glenda Bautista, and Ryan King.
Panel: How to Rawk SXSW: Achieving Geekgasm
Date: Saturday, March 8, 2008
Time: To be announced
Room: To be announced
Though I’m speaking for the Interactive portion, I’ll be attending a lot of Film events this year. Last year I realized I missed out on a lot of great panels and films by simply attending the interactive portion. Not gonna happen this year. In fact, I’m quite happy to see a lot of the Film and Interactive panels overlapping this year thanks to the growing popularity of web series. We certainly live in interesting times…
If you’re planning to be at SXSW as well, let me know!
Anti-CanCon Talk at BarCamp Montreal 3
Due to our frustrations over groups like ACTRA falsely representing new media content creators’ interests in extending CanCon guidelines to the internet, Rudy and I will be giving a presentation at BarCamp Montreal 3 to deliver our opinions (as real new media content creators) on the matter. We will also be answering any questions about our experiences in the internet video realm, as we always enjoy helping our fellow creators.
I invite all to attend. Here are the details:
What: BarCampMontreal3
Where: Society for Arts and Technology (SAT), 1195 Boul. St. Laurent (Map)
When: Saturday, November 3, 2007 from 9AM to 6PM
Hope to see you there.
Cameo on The Conventioneers
When I was at Polaris last month, I was interviewed by the folks at The Conventioneers… they didn’t even know that I do what they do :P

Since I was added to the panel after the programmes were printed and the web site went up, I’m not officially listed to be there. BUT, this is the panel I’ll be appearing on:
