Kitkast was a ten-minute weekly web series giving comedic news covering to the strange and taboo world of sex. Each episode, hosted by internet personality Ms. Kitka (played by Casey McKinnon), featured news and reviews presented in a sarcastic but humorous vein and interviews with a wide-range of people, from sex-positive politicians to adult film stars.
The show first launched on October 15th, 2005, and quickly shot up the podcast charts in the iTunes Store as the first video iPod was released shortly after. After being suggested by Adam Curry on Daily Source Code, it was written up in Rolling Stone magazine, the Guardian and the Sydney Morning Herald, among others.
All episodes were produced by McKinnon and her partner Rudy Jahchan using a consumer-level camera, a tripod, two table lights and a computer.
