I played “Vampira” on a faux daytime talk show…
I was back in Vancouver earlier this year and my good friend Nicholas Humphries asked me to be in a video he was making with his students at the Vancouver Film School. I’ve been wanting to do something with Nick for a long time, so without hesitation I said something along the lines of “F*CK YEAH!” In the video I play a character named “Vampira”, the trashy gothic trophy-wife of a mad scientist, who is obviously having marital problems with her husband. I realized I forgot to blog about it when it came out back in September, so here it is now!
I had lots of fun filming this with them, so I hope you have fun checking it out.
ELF SABERS: Two elves enter, one elf leaves!
Last month I had lunch with my friend Teal Sherer and she said she wanted to make a lightsaber battle video. She asked if I was interested in doing it with her, and I said something along the lines of “HELL yes!!!” Thanks to the fight coordination and direction of America Young, the idea took shape very quickly… and I’m so happy that I can finally show you “ELF SABERS“!
Be sure to check out Comediva for other wonderfully funny videos, and some behind the scenes photos of our ELF SABERS shoot. And, happy holidays, everyone!!!
In case you missed me on Framerate…
I was a guest on TWiT‘s Framerate this week thanks to the suggestion of the show’s wonderful hosts Tom Merritt and Brian Brushwood! We discussed the online video industry, the future of television distribution, and the TV shows and movies we’ve been watching. Thanks to Tom, Brian, and producer Jason Howell for having me on!
Google+ Comments!
Thanks to Juan Carlos Bagnell from Movies You May Have Missed for making this all possible (directing, narrating, and making me crack up). And thanks to all of you awesome Google+ commenters who make me giggle every day. :)
You can find me on Google+ here.
The Haunted Broadsword returns to NSFW!
In case you missed it, I was on this week’s episode of NSFW on TWiT, where I represented the tiny percentage of ladies on Google+ (not to be confused with the percentage of tiny ladies on Google+ to which I am also a representative).
Check it out and spread the word… Fridays are now for inviting ladies to Google+! It shall be known as “Fem Friday” and we shall end the sausage fest! So say we all!!!
ElfQuest: A SAG New Media Premiere
Our ElfQuest fan trailer came out a few weeks ago and the Screen Actors Guild held a red carpet premiere to celebrate its’ release. It was a fun event complete with popcorn and a Q&A with producers Paula Rhodes and Stephanie Thorpe. My friend Kristyn Burtt was also on hand interviewing cast members on the red carpet for Mingle Media. Here’s the interview she did with me:
Thanks to SAG for making our premiere a special new media event. Also, thanks to all the great press we received, the trailer is now listed on IMDb. If you have a moment, be sure to rate it for us!
ElfQuest: A Fan Imagining now online!
After producers Paula Rhodes and Stephanie Thorpe showed a teaser at Wondercon last week, we’ve got a lot of great coverage everywhere from io9 to BoingBoing! In fact, Attack of the Show will be doing a segment about it today on G4!!!
I hope you enjoy the above “trailer” we all made with lots of love and respect to the ElfQuest comic series. We had an amazing time making it and would do it again in a heartbeat. Thanks to Paula and Stephanie for all their hard work… I still can’t believe Paula made most of those costumes BY HAND!!!
Please share and enjoy! ;)
Stepping Into (the) Elevator

Back in early November, Elevator creator Woody Tondorf invited me to take part in the final season of his hit web series. I was asked to write a script and show up with whatever clothes/props I need. I said something along the lines of “HELLZ YEAH!” and racked my brain to come up with an awesome script.
While on set, I was told that an actress didn’t show up and they needed someone to play the role of Lucy in the episode entitled Harold the Janitor’s Dad. Again, “HELLZ YEAH!” was probably uttered. After some last minute memorization, here’s the result:
Stay tuned for the episode I wrote and starred in called Future Kate. I hope it comes out soon, but I know it takes a little more editing than most Elevator episodes, so keep your fingers crossed or tweet @WoodyTondorf to put the pressure on! ;)
Guest co-hosting on TWiT’s NSFW again!
You know what they say… three times a charm! If you missed the first two times I was on TWiT show NSFW, you can watch them here and here.
Thanks to @Sandtiger for launching a Twitter campaign earlier this week to get me back on the show. F*ck yeah! That is how you do it!!!

Until next time… ;)
2010 From the Eyes of my Laptop
Happy New Year, kiddies! While I didn’t take a self-portrait every day last year, I did take many random self-portraits. Above is a compilation of nearly all the photos I took in Photo Booth on my MacBook Pro in 2010 (some photos cut for time), quite literally the world view of my laptop in 2010 ;)
Some people have asked me if I would continue my daily self-portrait series in 2011. My answer? I will try… the only issue being that I don’t feel very inspired by taking photos on my laptop anymore and would like to get a real camera… perhaps a 7D? I’ve been considering starting a fan fundraiser to raise money to buy a camera, with the promise that I will take daily self portraits for a year and continue to assemble monthly outtake videos. Let me know what you think of the idea! Just an idea at this point…
